How to read Swimfo and official bathing-water pages
Use the official authority for the nation and site you plan to visit; check the limits and timing of results.

Swimfo is the Environment Agency’s service for designated bathing-water profiles in England. Search for a site and read its profile and current pollution-risk information where provided. Annual classifications summarise results over a period; seasonal forecasts are a separate update.
For Scotland use SEPA; Wales, NRW; Northern Ireland, DAERA. Their seasons and updates differ. Designated waters are monitored through the relevant programmes; other swimming places may not be. Classifications are not real-time guarantees. Check current site notices; do not infer a verdict from appearance.
